There are two groups of people in this one clan. One
group came from Buyinja in Bunyiga, Ssingo and their
fore grandfather was called Magunda. These people
left Ssingo and went to Kisuza. The other group came
from Ankole in Mpororo (Abanyarujumbura) under their
clan head Nyakaana and settled in Kiziba, Buweekula.
Nyakaana was in charge of he Kabaka’s cows and
was also his healer.
The clan head of the Lukato from Kisuza today is known
as Lyongera while Nyakaana is still the title for
the clan head of people who hailed from Mpororo to
Buweekula. They never left that place.
